Cruise time!!! Dave and I just went on a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. We had so much fun. We went with a couple we are really good friends with here in Omaha, Brad and Marissa Schenk.
The cruise stopped in Cozumel, Mexico first. There we same with dolphins, snorkled and shopped. It was a great day. The dolphins were amazing. We got to play with them in the water for about 45 minutes. They kissed our cheeks and shook our hands. They even pulled us, quickly, through the water. It felt like getting pulled up on a slalom ski. Really fast! I was surprised.
Then we went shopping. I wasn't planning on buying anything, but I found some Python cowgirl boots, and I couldn't resist. They are pretty sweet. :) (Sorry little snake!)
The next stop was Belize City, Belize. We took a bus ride to some Mayan ruins there. It was really cool to see them. While we were there we also got to hold some crocodiles and a really cute little animal. I can't remember what it was called! Sorry, it was in the raccoon family though.
Next we went to Roaton, Honduras an island just of the coast of Honduras. We ported in Mahogany Bay. It was beautiful! Hands down the most beautiful stop on the trip. The landscape was mountainous and so lush and green. We did zip-lining there. We went to a place called South Shore. It was awesome. We got to hold a monkey after we were down... and it bit me, hard!!! Bah. But it didn't get infected so that is good. I was surprised though. Dave got a great picture of my surprised/hurt face right after. :) We snorkeled after we finished there. It was great snorkling. We saw tons of amazing fish and we even saw a little white, round jelly fish. It was awesome!
Our last port was Grand Caymen. This was the spot we had planned on snorkeling and hanging at the beach all day because Dave had snorkeled there before and thought it was the best he'd seen. But unfortunately it wasn't great weather. It wasn't cold but it was really windy and cloudy so the water was pretty bad for snorkling. Bummer! But it was still a great day. We actually all got burnt that day because we didn't think about sunscreen. The sun was making it's way right though the clouds!
We also had a couple great days out at sea on the ship. We were on the Carnival Liberty. The food was great, and we all ate way too much!! Overall we had a wonderful time. I love vacations!!!!

Welcome to our blog! Dave and I were married August 14th 2007 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. I can't speak for Dave, but I love being married! ~I am pretty sure he does too. :) It is so great to have someone to share my life with. We have so much fun together. We love traveling and spending time with our family and friends. Here is a little bit more about us...
Dave served a 2 year religious mission in the Dominican Republic. He then graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in business finance while also completing his pre-medical requirements. He attended Creighton University school of medicine. He started in the fall of 2009. He is now a resident in dermatology and internal medicine at University of Wisconsin hospitals.
I graduated from the University of Utah in Elementary Education. I taught 2nd grade at Bancroft Elementary. Bancroft is a great school and I loved working with everyone there. When Cole was born I decided to stay at home with him. I am loving every minute of my time with him.
We have made so many great friends in Omaha and in Madison. But we still love and miss our family and friends in Utah! We hope this blog will help them feel connected to us, even if we aren't around as much as we'd like to be. Enjoy!
