My friend Catherine shared this quote with me and I absolutely love it.
"As a being of power, intelligence, and the master of his own thoughts, a man holds the key to every situation, to make his life what he chooses it to be. When he discovers the divine power within his soul, he can lead his life to a God-like nature.
If one dreams lofty dreams, so shall he become! There is a magic in the way way one thinks.
If we expect the worst, we get the worst.
If we expect the best, we will receive the best.
If we train our mind to have faith in God and ourselves, we are using one of the great laws of life. If we think and live righteously, happiness, will find its place in our lives. It is amazing when we expect the best how forces are set in motion which cause the best to materialize.
Our thoughts more than circumstances determine the course of our lives.
Outward circumstances do not determine the course of our lives as much as the thoughts that habitually occupy our minds. These thoughts carve their impression on our faces, in our hearts, and on the tablet of our eternal souls."

Welcome to our blog! Dave and I were married August 14th 2007 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. I can't speak for Dave, but I love being married! ~I am pretty sure he does too. :) It is so great to have someone to share my life with. We have so much fun together. We love traveling and spending time with our family and friends. Here is a little bit more about us...
Dave served a 2 year religious mission in the Dominican Republic. He then graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in business finance while also completing his pre-medical requirements. He attended Creighton University school of medicine. He started in the fall of 2009. He is now a resident in dermatology and internal medicine at University of Wisconsin hospitals.
I graduated from the University of Utah in Elementary Education. I taught 2nd grade at Bancroft Elementary. Bancroft is a great school and I loved working with everyone there. When Cole was born I decided to stay at home with him. I am loving every minute of my time with him.
We have made so many great friends in Omaha and in Madison. But we still love and miss our family and friends in Utah! We hope this blog will help them feel connected to us, even if we aren't around as much as we'd like to be. Enjoy!

Funny story...
I can't help but share this story! :) One of my 2nd grade student's came to class on Wednesday with a small action figurine that was in pieces. He came right up to me with his homework and the sad looking toy and said, "Mrs. Wright I know that Dave is a doctor, could you ask him if he put this guy back together?"
"Dave the doctor" felt pretty good that he had the faith of my 2nd grade students. :)
Well, I took one look and know that the toy couldn't be fixed, well not without extreme amounts of super glue, and even then the small figure would still be missing one hip/gluteus maximus. But I told him that I would have Dave try. At the end of the day he got the toy back out and informed me that he would leave it on his desk for Dave to fix.
Of course Dave the doctor was not going to be able to fix this toy, but I let the boy know that he would try his hardest to do the repairs.
So what do I do? Ha ha, well I forgot to bring the toy home, I really had intended to do so. :)

The next morning we found the toy still in pieces, and actually all that was there was two legs and a body... I don't know what happened to the head and the arms.
Dave wished he could have defended his title by at least getting to have a try at the repairs. Sorry honey! I dropped the ball on this.
I had to tell my student that his action figure would have to retire because he was beyond repair. So sad, lol! He is really a funny kid and I think that he was trying to challenge Dave to test his "doctor" skills more than anything. I might have to tell him that Dave wants another try. I will keep you posted if there is a change of fate for the incapacitated action figure.
